OK first, if you love Photoshop (and I know you do or you would not be reading this) you have got to see this. Ok now that you’ve seen the geekiest Photoshop fan boy thing I’m aware of … this last April after seeing Deke at Photoshop World Orlando, I was convinced that Deke and Donnie Hoyle were one in the same. When the news broke about the real talent behind "You Suck at Photoshop" I wrote about it on this blog. So now Deke has this new “Photoshop 101 tips in 5 minutes” deke-pod-thing-podcast-rap. Deke is not Donnie. Deke is the real, hard core, I-know-everything-about-Photoshop you-know-nothing divine being.
So hey Adobe, here’s a totally geek Photoshop lovers rap from the heart. Something has to be done with this. I’ve got a Photoshop CS4 new feature idea for you. Under the “Windows” menu add an option that says “Photoshop Shortcuts”. Then add two sub menu choices: “Shortcuts Traditional” and “Deke’s 101 Shortcuts in 5 Minutes”. Users selecting “Shortcuts Traditional” get a nice handy list of Photoshop shortcuts listed on screen. Users selecting “Deke’s 101 Shortcuts in 5 Minutes” get a video player window that plays Deke’s video and instructions that read “Pause as necessary for assimilation”.
Let's give Deke the worship he deserves. So what do you say?

I completely agree, Deke has now cemented his place as the number one Photoshop guru, and dare I say rapper, in the universe!!!!
I've always loved Deke's style, his ability to tell you something new about Photoshop no matter how many years you've been using it, his credible but humorous teaching style, the way he makes you laugh and commands respect in the same sentence, and then just as you think he's done it all - he pops up with something like this!
