Photoshop This Week: Top Five 05.15.09

Photoshop This Week Cool Photoshop Stuff

I cover a wide range of topics this week including an extra featuring Andy Warhol using an Amiga. If you only have 15 seconds to look at this list don’t miss the Spock Obama image. As usual, I post this list each week (once in a while a little late). If you find it interesting, make sure and check out my past and future editions. Subscribe to this blog’s RSS feed – and don’t hesitate to let me know if I missed something!

  1. Photoshop Tutorial Hall of Fame: WOW! If you can’t find something here that gets you excited to open Photoshop and get to work you’re just not into Photoshop.
  2. Spock Obama: Some how this seems perfect but I can’t seem to explain why.
  3. My “Photoshop Down & Dirty Tricks” Book is now In Stock at Amazon: Scott Kelby’s books are usually more than worth the price. I’ve already order my copy and will have a review soon.
  4. Photoshopping the Great Masters: Nice teaser for the liquify tool. If you don’t know what it is or what it can do this will wet your appetite. Plus Deke was kind enough to offer an image and presents to play with. Did I just say Deke was kind and nice? Ok he really is kind of nice in an attitude from the dark side sort of way.
  5. Muni Don’t Take My Kodachrome: I got a real kick out of this. A fake ID that keeps you clear of a fake law regarding photography of public places. I’ve actually been asked to design official looking ID badges by a couple of clients for business use. There’s a couple of high-end Illustrator templates here that might come in handy. Found via imaginginsider.com.
  6. Old-school imaging: Warhol on the Amiga: Watching this video on John Nack’s blog felt like getting in a time machine. I had never head that Warhol used any type of computer. Having used an Amiga myself in the late 80s I can confirm that it was fun and seemed very advanced at the time.

How did you like this week’s list? Anything Missed? Post your additions here. Got something for next week? Email me and let me know.

George,

Looks like the link to the Illustrator file has been removed. I have a Photoshop layered ID/Licence generic design. I guess I'll have to post that. Check back. I'll dig it out and do a blog post for it.
