Photoshop This Week: Top Five 01.09.09

The first week of the year has been a busy one with Macworld and CES related news events producing a gusher of press releases. Here’s five top items for Photoshop users.
As always, I post this list each week. If you find it interesting, make sure and check out my past and future editions. Subscribe to this blog’s RSS feed – and don’t hesitate to let me know if I missed something!

  1. Imaging Insider - The source for imaging professionals: If you’re looking for an exhaustive resource for photography and imaging related press releases this is the place. Given all the announcements this week this resource is a godsend.
  2. Create Easy, High-resolution Poladroid-like Pictures From Your Digital Photos: Is this a useful piece of software? I’m not sure I can say it’s usefully but I had a great time playing with it. Finding fun items like this is why putting this list together each week is so fun.
  3. Macworld Expo In Pictures: Scroll about half way down and see Russell Brown right in the middle of it all. Reporting courtesy of Guy Kawasaki - one of my favorite business writers.
  4. Create Star Wars Scrolling Text In Photoshop: Proof positive that Photoshop CS4 Extended really wants to be After Effects when it grows up.
  5. Apple Introduces Revolutionary New Laptop With No Keyboard: OK, this isn’t real but it is real funny. It looks so damn real. Really!
  6. 2009 Calendar Photoshop Templates: OK one extra bit of self promotion this week. The calendar templates that I’ve been working on for the last 6 weeks are finally available from my friends at easydigitals.com.

Do you like this week’s list? Did I miss anything? Post your additions here. Got something for next week? Email me and let me know.
