February went by fast. I guess it always does being the shortest month of the year. So here’s the last batch of “Top 5” for February 2009. SPECIAL NOTE: if you design for a living you will not want to miss my post from yesterday titled “Is crowdSPRING A Good Idea?”
As usual, I post this list each week. Yes, each and every week! If you find it interesting, make sure and check out my past and future editions. Subscribe to this blog’s RSS feed – and don’t hesitate to let me know if I missed something!
- Photoshop CS4 update now available: This update addresses some crash issues. I hope it addresses the ones I’ve been having. John Nack has a short list of the fixes if you want to review.
- Gridmaker For Photoshop CS4: Andrew Ingram has released GridMaker as a Flash Panel. If you do complex designs where you need text or other items (I’m thinking website design) to line up at various locations this Flash Panel could come in very handy. It’s free so it’s worth a try.
- Planet Design Contest: This new monthly contest slipped by me when it started a couple of months ago. Each month Planetphotoshop.com selects three different free tutorials from their collection and asks you to create an original piece of work, inspired by one or more of the selected tutorials. Winners will receive prizes from NAPP!
- It’s “Guest Blog Wednesday” featuring Syl Arena!: I really enjoyed this Scott Kelby guest blog post by Syl Arena. I’m a regular follower of Syl’s blog PixSylated. This stuff is right on target and most of it could apply to any creative endeavor.
- Inglourious Basterds Movie Posters: I hear this movie is bloody but they're not keeping that a secret in these grizzly but strangely irresistible posters.
Do you like this week’s list? Did I miss anything? Post your additions here. Got something for next week? Email me and let me know.
