Photoshop This Week: Top Five 04.03.09

This weeks list has five hot items, no fillers or dude here. It doesn't look like the economic slow down is going to have a big impact on the world of Photoshop. As usual, I post this list each week. If you find it interesting, make sure and check out my past and future editions. Subscribe to this blog’s RSS feed – and don’t hesitate to let me know if I missed something!

  1. Filter Forge for Mac arrives: Now Mac users can make their own Photoshop filters! Thanks Filter Forge! This is one I’ve been eagerly waiting for. With any luck I might be making some home brewed filters available right here at CampPhotoshop.com. ONE MORE NOTE: It's 30% off for a limited time!!!
  2. "Photoshop CS4 One-on-One : Mastery" is Complete: Is Deke crazy! 50-hour-plus 540 movie video series at lynda.com. Deke says only 180 of the movies are available so far. No problem Deke that should keep my pretty busy.
  3. It’s “Guest Blog Wednesday” with Rick Sammon!: Rick Sammon has some great Photoshop books and more tutorial videos than I’m aware of. I always find his teaching approach friendly and easy to access. Plus he’s a Canon guy! His guest blog post is a very interesting perspective from that of a dad how also happens to be a photographer/photoshop expert.
  4. US Federal Reserve: Funny Money: Thanks Photoshop Disasters I couldn’t have said it any better, “You usually expect to find retro-tokenism in corporate reports, not on the back of the new $2 bill.”
  5. Script facilitates 3D file handling in Photoshop: This is a great help if you are using CS3 or CS4 extended and want help accessing and using tons of free files in Google's 3D Warehouse.

FYI, I don't really think Deke is crazy just different than most humans.

Do you like this week’s list? Did I miss anything? Post your additions here. Got something for next week? Email me and let me know.
