Seems like a slow Photoshop week. But that doesn't mean this weekly list takes a break! I was sad when I heard Kodachrome was going away (item #1). If you are a Mac user that collects Photoshop Brushes check out item three. As usual, I post this list each week. That’s right, each and every week! If you find it interesting, make sure and check out my past and future editions. Subscribe to this blog’s RSS feed – and don’t hesitate to let me know if I missed something!
- Eulogies for Kodachrome film pour in: Whenever I hear Paul Simon's 1973 hit Kodachrome I instantly am flooded with the look, feel and smell of film. Don’t get me wrong, I love digital but anyone who’s shot and developed a roll of film knows there something unique about the experience that is not replicated with a digital camera and Photoshop. You also might want to check out A Tribute to KODACHROME: A Photography Icon.
- 25 Photoshop Tutorials for Creating 3D Text Effects: This is a list of text effect tutorial. Lots of variety of effects so there should be something here for everyone.
- Brush Pilot Released: If you use and collect Photoshop brushes and work on a Mac this little $15 application will come in handy. If you’re making brush sets (like I’ve been doing - Postage Stamp Themed Photoshop Brushes) this is a great help to organizing your work.
- 53 Crazy-good Digital Photography Tutorials: Thanks to Danny Outlaw for this massive list of Photoshop tutorials.
- WALL•E (+ Jim Capobianco & Alex Woo interview): I thank WALL•E is one of the best animated movies ever made and the title credits are an important part of that.
