Photoshop This Week: Top Five 08.14.09

Actions Panels, Bonsai tree, John Nack, Mad Men, plugins, Terry White

Actions panels, green screen, mad men, plug-ins and a Bonsai tree. I can confidently say I have cover it all this week. Do I post this list each week? Yes I do! That’s right, each and every week! If you find it interesting, make sure and check out my past and future editions. Subscribe to this blog’s RSS feed – and don’t hesitate to let me know if I missed something!

  1. TLR Professional Sharpening Actions Panels: A bunch of these panels are popping up. The really cool thing is that most of them are free. You can give these Glenn Mitchell options a try for free—you need to be running Photoshop CS4. Thanks to John Nack for this one.
  2. 22+ Stunning Commercial Photoshop Plugins With Fully Functional Demos: I like using Photoshop plug-ins and I love cool ones with a demo that lets you get a feel for what it can do. This is a list of 22+ plug-ins like that.
  3. Mad Men Illustrated: Very fun 60s styled illustrations by Dyna Moe. Fun as well as visually stimulation. This item by way of John Nack.
  4. Westcott uLite 2 Light Green Screen Kit Review: If you want to do compositing in Photoshop with your own photography, green screen is the way to go. Wescott has put together a great little kit and Terry White provides a nice review including a video review.
  5. How to Make a Bonsai Tree From Scratch: I tweeted this one earlier this week. It was very popular so I’m repeating on this weeks list. Must be lots of Bonsai tree fans out there.

Do you like this week’s list? Did I miss anything? Post your additions here. Got something for next week? Email me and let me know.
