- Forty Spine-chilling Horror Photoshop Effects: Cool and scary Photoshop effects tutorials. These are so intense that I’m going to be looking for a reason to use them all year long.
- Forty Beautiful Grunge Photoshop Tutorials: What can I say? I like grunge. These tutorials are stand-out classy grunge, if I can say such a thing.
- My Head Is Huge: Deke is a funny guy. His blog post is a good excuse to let you know his new book is shipping. There is a huge head contest too. I just got my hands on the new book yesterday. I’m planning an entire blog post dedicated to his book and Photoshop CS4. The news here is that the Adobe Photoshop CS4 One-on-One is shipping.
- Fxguidetv #41 - John Dykstra Interview: Sorry, this is from a couple of weeks ago. This is another Fxguide's ‘Masters of the Craft’ video series with an insightful interview with the original Star Wars special effects supervisor John Dykstra. Mr. Dykstra’s thoughts about creativity in the age of high-powered computer tools struck a nerve with me.
- Max Payne - Art of the Title: Got a bit of a grunge theme this week. There’s some interesting grunge metal text in this title sequence. The type is strong, heavy metal and grungy all rolled into one.
