Photoshop This Week: Top Five 12.26.08

With Christmas behind us and a fresh new year ahead, it’s time to get Photoshop busy. Here’s a new list to get you in the right mindset. As always, I post this list each week. If you find it interesting, make sure and check out my past and future editions. Subscribe to this blog’s RSS feed – and don’t hesitate to let me know if I missed something!

  1. It’s Curtains For You: This is a tutorial I’m really excited about! I’ve had a need to create curtains several times but have never run across a simpler yet more attractive approach than Corey Barker shows here.
  2. Adobe Connect and Photoshop Training: Scott Kelby made an interesting comment this week on his blog in reference to Adobe’s web conference software Adobe Connect. Scott writes “...after the first of the year, we’ll be doing some special live training events using this technology...” This sounds very promising. I wonder if Scott read my post a few months ago where I suggested that Photoshop World include a live event for NAPP members who can’t make it to Photoshop World?
  3. Smashing Highlights 2008:Month by month highlights from one of the best free design resources on the Web.
  4. BB Watercolor Brushes Reach 1,000,000 Downloads: Impressive numbers for an impressive Photoshop resource.
  5. Land of the Lost Movie Poster: Here’s a nice piece of Photoshop work. I like the depth even though it doesn’t seem realistic. Really, what’s realistic about Hollywood anyway!

Do you like this week’s list? Did I miss anything? Post your additions here. Got something for next week? Email me and let me know.
