For Photoshop users and fans there was a real treat on Saturday Night Live last night (02.14.09). Sort of a Photoshop lovers Valentine. I’m a big fan of the parody ads that they do and this one has move into my all time top ten. It’s a fake ad for “Sir Mix-A-Lot’s Photo Shop, We’ll enhance your butt”. As you can already guess from that title the ad features a slightly different version of Baby Got Back. They hide defects like acne and wrinkles by making your butt in pictures look so big that those things go unnoticed. Or a big butt can be used to crop or hide other subjects in your photo.
Kenan Thompson, SNL mainstay, is great as Sir Mix-A-Lot. Will Forte, one of my favorites in the current cast, makes an appearance as a Sir Mix-A-Lot’s Photo Shop assistance.
Proof once again that there are lots of uses for and ways to make money with Photoshop! When is the Sir Mix-A-Lot plug-in going to be available?
