Photoshop World now called "Photoshop Dude"

Live from Photoshop World (PSW) Orlando 2008. The main conference started today. On my short walk to the Orlando Conference Center this morning I was chatting with a new friend from Germany when we noticed that Matt Kloskowski and Dave Cross were right next to us. I struck up a friendly conversation with Matt and Dave. I tried to get to the scoop on the keynote but didn’t have any luck. All I got from Matt was a comment about the ridiculous outfit they wanted him to wear.

I didn’t have to wait long. The keynote kicked off with an entertaining Photoshop/Star Trek mash up. For the hard core Photoshop user and avid fan of the original Trek it was a geek vision come true. I’ll bet it was PSW head geek Scott Kelby’s idea. I'm right there with you Scott. Maybe the rest of you reading this aren’t in that odd mental state, so I’ll spare you the details regarding bad puns and jokes. I do want to say that the bit ended with Scott Kelby renaming Photoshop World “Photoshop Dude”. You’ll have to see it to appreciate the joke. Maybe it will turn up on YouTube.
