Top 5 From The Photoshop World Tech Expo

After reviewing my goodies from the Photoshop World Tech Expo I attented last week in Orlando, I’ll to share my top five products or services. I think you may find some of these things interesting and worth a look. So without further delay here’s my top five.

Number five: Flypaper? Flypaper is software to create, edit and share Flash-quality content that can be used for live presentations or over the Web. I believe this product is still in beta.  What I liked most about it was that it is free. I haven’t tried it yet but for free I will.

Number four: the Cintiq 12WX interactive pen display is great fun to play with.  The idea of drawing directly on the screen is about as close to drawing on paper as I’ve experienced with a computer. I don’t know that I have to have one of these but I believe I would enjoy playing with one.

Number three: whcc is another prints and printing company with a photographer and designer orientation. The fact that I have two companies like this on my list shows how far this business has come in the last few years. Again there’s great pricing and a wide product range. There was a single product that caught my eye head and shoulders above any others. They offer color printing on a pearl finish paper. The samples they were showing were very impressive.

Number two: Mpix is an all online lab servers that produces high quality professional prints that ship with 24 hours. I was impressed with not only the quality of their prints that of the great pricing and wide product range. I will certainly be giving them a try in the near future.

Number one: the new Canon Rebel XSI is a must have for me. The camera has not been released yet but I was able to hold one and play with one for as long as I wanted. Once again I’m impressed with Canon’s work on their entry level digital SLR. The live preview on a 3 inch screen is a great reason to upgrade. Oh yea, it's 12.2-megapixell too. Skip the kit lens and spend your money on a nice lens.

The flypaper sounds really

The flypaper sounds really cool. Will you be incorporating that into your new tutorials? I would highly recommend something like that.

I've been thinking of trying

I've been thinking of trying whcc for some photo prints, and now that you've seen them in person, I'll definitely give them and Mpix a try.
